Introducing the Yorkshire Baptist Association
The Yorkshire Baptist Association is a network of 112 churches. Our role is to encourage healthy Baptist churches that enjoy vibrant spirituality and confident mission.
This means supporting existing and encouraging new forms of Baptist presence across our region.
Our work is informed by our 5 core values:

We aim to be creative and relational in all we do and what we encourage among our churches.
We do this by:
- Supporting the recognition, development and care of leaders, especially accredited ministers
- Encouraging local churches in creative expressions of mission through sharing experience, training and partnership
- Promoting good practice in relation to children and vulnerable adults
- Assisting churches in operating as charities and in the care and development of their buildings
- Promoting the funding of local churches and projects through the Home Mission scheme
We work in partnership with local churches, the Baptist Union of Great Britain, BMS World Mission, Baptist Colleges and other Christian Denominations across Yorkshire.
In practice this means offering practical solutions to the challenges that face us, bringing inspiration through shared stories and events, encouraging committed and prayerful relationships among leaders and providing training for churches.
We are committed to being informed by Christian values through prayer and by listening to our churches.
