Mission Group
The Mission Group is responsible for the support, development and resourcing of creative mission through Baptist churches in Yorkshire.
The group provides guidance and reflection on what the YBA does in supporting mission. This is done by working alongside the Regional Ministers to put together a mission strategy. This involves checking how effective our work is next to our values and aims, the needs and priorities of local churches and the opportunities we have with partners.
At present the Mission Group
- guides the development of Commissioned Ministries
- encourages the promotion of home and world mission through practical involvement, prayer and giving
- encourages the sharing of good stories among our churches
- guides the running of training events to equip minister and other workers
- monitors the support provided through mission consultancy for local churches
The group usually meets 5 times per year; the scheduled meeting dates are:
