Hon Treasurer

Born in 1938, Harold came to faith and was baptised at Armley Baptist Church where he met and married Rosemary in 1961. They have 3 grown up children, one of whom is a Baptist minister; they also have 5 grand-daughters. Living in Leeds, Harold & Rosemary attend the Adel Congregation of South Parade BC.

Harold qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1961 and retired from practice as the local senior partner of a national firm of accountants in 1998; he still retains an interest in business as a non-executive director of two local companies.

He became Hon Treasurer of the YBA in 1997, and for a time was also Acting General Secretary as well as it's Trust Officer. Harold has served on the Baptist Union Council and on the Finance Advisory Group; he currently represents the YBA as a Director of the BU Corporation.

Harold works closely with Ken Garrett ensuring that the YBA churches receive the help and advice they require in all manner of financial matters; as well as producing the Annual Financial Statements and Accounts.
