Jane Day
Regional Minister for Mission
The YBA is committed to enabling and equipping Christians in churches across Yorkshire to be confident in the good news of Jesus Christ.
Jane's role is to get alongside churches and congregations to support and encourage them in all aspects of mission. In practice this means that Jane's time is spent meeting with church leaders and congregations either in groups or one-to-one, to reflect with them on what God is calling them towards. She also works closely with other denominational leaders representing East & South Yorkshire, as well as working closely with the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
Jane brings to the YBA team her experience of training and development at HBOS and the Girls' Brigade England & Wales. She was ordained in 2004 having trained for ministry at Regents Park College alongside her student placement at Didcot Baptist Church. She began her first pastorate at Gildersome in October 2004. Jane has benefitted greatly from her overseas mission experiences in El Salvador, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola.
Jane is passionate about all things mission and began her role as Regional Minister for Mission within the YBA in September 2009. She is readily available to discuss all things mission as together we seek to be confident in Jesus.
