Baptism Blessings in Hull

Boulevard Baptisms

HERE’S some fantastic news from Julie Watts, church secretary at Boulevard Baptist Church in Hull.

Julie writes: “As a church the future looked bleak for us about five years ago with dwindling membership, and a weekly congregation of approximately 12-15.
“The deacons seriously thought of closing the church BUT after lots of prayer the Lord has richly blessed us and we now have a weekly congregation of approximately 25-30 and in addition approximately 12-15 children on the Junior Church roll.
“At the beginning of this year we were privileged to welcome four new people into church membership during a service led by the Revd Adrian Kloss - and last month we had the privilege of baptising five members!
“As we don't have a baptistry, we were welcomed at Cottingham Road Baptist Church. The service was led by the Revd Richard Sherlock and the baptism by the Revd Ken Reynard and myself.
“We now have to find the Lord’s way forward for the church in relation to building problems. We would appreciate prayer from the wider Baptist community, to ask that the Lord shows us the way forward regarding the building.”
