Christian Aid Week 2017

ALEX Jones, of Christian Aid and Shipley Baptist Church writes:

Christian Aid logo"THE energy and passion of Edith Sheldrick (Barnoldswick), Jessie Davies (South Parade), Judith West (Shipley) have all left their mark on me and many others in our churches.  Without their commitment and determination to stand with the most vulnerable and marginalised people of our world, I wouldn’t be working for Christian Aid now.

"This year Christian Aid Week is 60 and many in our churches will organise and take part in Big Brekkies, House-to-House collections, pop-up shops, sponsored walks and services,  inspired by Christian Aid Week diamonds like Edith, Jessie and Judith.  A huge thank you to everyone involved!

"Another diamond is Theodor.  Helped as a refugee by Christian Aid after World War II, he continues to refuse to turn his back on poverty and injustice even in his 90s.  Click here to hear his story here and follow his example by getting stuck in - click here. "
