Gender JusticeHERE'S a “keep the date” message from Regional Minister the Revd Mary Taylor: “Celebrating, Surviving and Thriving - Women in Baptist Ministry – June 28th and 29th, 2018. The Gender Justice Hub and the BME* Women Ministers’ Network present a 24-hour conference at IMC in Birmingham for Baptist women ministers, non-ordained women in a qualifying office, ministers in training and those exploring a call to ministry.”
Inspiring women speakers include:-

  • Former BUGB president and Team Leader of London Baptist Association, Pat Took, who is moderator at Albemarle Baptist Church, Scarborough and continues with speaking engagements and teaching across the denomination.
  • Gale RichardsThe Revd Gale Richards (right), Baptist minister in Cambridge, who co-ordinates the BME Women Ministers’ Network, which provides support and encouragement to Baptist women from black and minority ethnic groups (BME) in leadership positions. She is also a member of the Baptists Together Children Youth and Family Round Table.
  • Helen Roberts, who is Mission and Discipleship leader at Altrincham Baptist Church.
  • Dion-Marie WhiteDion-Marie White (pictured), who was the first person to participate in BUGB’s Inspiring Leadership Programme in Jamaica.

 

Worship will be led by Amie Buhari singer and actress, founder of the Hebe Foundation (formally known as South London Youth Project).
