Learning Partnerships

YBA Mission Enabler Kezia Robinson writes:

LICC Learning PartnershipsFOLLOWING on from the news that there will be an opportunity to join our second learning hub in partnership with LICC (London Institute for Contemporary Christianity), we are pleased to announce that on Tuesday 23rd February at 7.30pm former BUGB president Ken Benjamin, who is LICC's Director of Church Relationships, will be hosting a taster evening on Zoom to help people see the benefits and possibility of embedding Whole Life Discipleship in our churches.

It’s an opportunity to get further details and an insight into how this learning hub will help equip and enable your church structures and church body for sharing God’s story.
Ken Benjamin and Neil HudsonKen alongside Neil Hudson, former LICC Director of Church Relationships, will be delivering the course over the next two years.
Our first YBA learning hub gave support and foundation to our church communities helping them to reshape and go out to share God’s story in their everyday lives with confidence.
If you would like to know more about being a part of this and how it could benefit your church community and its mission, please email Joolz - click here - and she will book you a place for the taster evening and send you the Zoom link. I am looking forward to seeing some of you on the 23rd. In the meantime, if you would like to speak to me please email me - click here .

More about the second learning hub

Kezia adds:
Fruit on frontline"We would like to invite our churches to consider joining our second learning partnership and over a two-year period become equipped, energised and mission focussed. The core aims are to:

  • Empower Christians to make a difference in God’s world
  • Empower church leaders to help them do it

The partnership will work for churches of any size. The requirement is that you are looking for an in-depth way to equip and enable your church family to live and speak the story of God where they are.
Our next partnership starts on March 27th on Zoom. If you are interested in joining or would like to explore more of what is involved, including dates, cost and who should attend, please get in touch with me by email or call 07791 878260.

LICC image "We hope that through the partnership, a creative and inspiring learning environment will develop that leads to long-term sustainable change within churches and worshipping communities, both as they gather and as they scatter.
The programme aims to help participants realise the vision for a church which joyfully embraces its call to be communities of disciples who are living as adventurous followers of Jesus Christ.
The  programme will give church leaders, lay and ordained, and their congregations the space to grow in confidence and courage to live out their faith in the whole of their everyday lives.
I hope to hear from some of you soon and start this exciting journey of equipping and resourcing together."

Here’s what others have had to say about it:-

  • Fruitfulness on the Frontline (LICC) has been and continues to be a blessing to me personally and also I feel to my church family.

  • I have been greatly encouraged, especially seeing some very small churches participate and work out how they can have a part in being more fruitful.

  • We are growing in confidence to go and tell, go and share Jesus wherever we are and whatever we are doing on our frontlines - working in an office, refuse collecting, managing a leisure centre, looking after grandchildren, supporting a poorly relative or neighbour, community cafe, toddler group, Scouts, hours of volunteering and so on.
