Retired Ministers’ Gathering 2026

Revd. Dr. John Claydon recently organised a lunchtime gathering for retired YBA ministers.

Collectively representing decades, if not centuries of ministry, our YBA retired ministers gathered in Huddersfield on Wednesday 8th July, coming from all parts of the Association, including those recently retired and those well used to this chapter of life.

It is the first time since Covid that there had been such a gathering. The group was warmly hosted by New North Road Baptist Church, and Graham Ensor, our RM Team Leader, gave a greeting and shared some news.

Retirement is a particular time of life and ministry that we all engage with differently, and yet there is a commonality that enables retirees to share and support with a greater sense of empathy. It was a great opportunity to meet old colleagues and make new friends.

The group plans to meet four times year: twice via video call and twice in person.
