A Beautiful “Yes” at Anchor Church Leeds

On 16 November, Anchor Church Leeds shared a joyful moment as Maryam Safarpoor told the story of her coming to Christ, her faith and her continuing journey as part of the church family.

Maryam spoke with a gentle boldness about what this step means for her. She said, “This is my way of saying ‘yes’ to God’s love and ‘yes’ to walking this journey in the light of Christ... I know I won’t be perfect but I know I won’t walk alone.”

Friends and family gathered to celebrate with her. They prayed for her and committed to stay close as fellow Christians, both now and into the future. It was a beautiful reminder of how God continues to draw people to Himself and how the church has the privilege of walking with one another in love and hope.
